Connie McCoy….”The desire to paint is a gift”….No one can be as happy as an artist lost in their work. It is a wonderful passion.”

Her journey in art has taken her from representational to abstraction and to sculpture.

In creating abstract landscapes, she developes texture with her pallette knife and is influenced by the Impressionists. She feels the loosening of the style in abstract allows her to be much bolder and expressive.

The creative process has always been part of her. She graduated with a B.S. in Advertising and Graphic Design from the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Architecture and Art and became an art director and graphic designer in Cincinnati and then San Diego. In 1985 she started her own design business.

After a successful career in advertising and graphic design, she has dedicated more time to her passion for painting.  She is a member of the San Diego Museum of Art Artist’s Guild, a member of the Del Mar Art Center Gallery, and a member of the La Jolla Artist Association. She was Cambridge Who’s Who as The 2011 Arts Industry Professional of the Year.
