I became intrigued with the manipulation of images both in the camera and in the darkroom while studying for my BFA. Since photography has shifted from film to digital, I now utilize PhotoShop as my canvas and have found that I enjoy altering my photographs as I did in the darkroom. Over time my art has transitioned to more abstract images and the photographs imbedded in them now serve as elements of texture and shape. A recent instructor has labeled my art as “digital convergence”.
