Susan Mae Hull, a 4th generation native San Diegan, is an award winning artist specializing in the softer art mediums of watercolor, pastel, Chinese brush & Calligraphy, employing all in her plein air painting. She established Ladybug Art Studio in 1975, having curatedseveral galleries of her own over the years.One of her most memorable undertaking was lettering a prayer bookfor Queen Elizabeth when her majesty attended the opening of theNew Old Globe in Balboa Park. However, her favorite projects remain the creation of art for the poem written by a small child for a grandparent; a painting of a beloved pet or family member, and the intimate execution of her personal interpretation of the magical beauty of this world.
